This notice explains how Petrotech Solutions, C.A. ("Petrotech", "we") handles personal information on this website and when you contact us by email or WhatsApp. The website is informational: it has no forms, accounts or purchases. Some technical information is still processed when you visit, as explained below.

2. When you visit the website
Like any website, ours receives technical information from your browser when you open a page: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, and your browser and device type. Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., uses this to deliver the pages and may keep it in server logs for security and troubleshooting.
If you choose a language with the language switch, a small cookie remembers your choice (see section 5). The website also reads your browser's language setting, on your device only, to decide which language to show first.
3. When you contact us
If you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, contact details, company, position and message, plus any files you attach. We use it only to reply to you and to manage our business relationship. Please do not send sensitive personal information we have not asked for.
WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp LLC (Meta). When you use it to contact us, its own terms and privacy policy also apply to that conversation.

Simply browsing the website is not treated as consent. If a law requires your consent for something, we will ask for it separately, and you can withdraw it at any time. We do not sell personal information.
6. Service providers and international transfers
We use a hosting provider (Vercel Inc., based in the United States) and a business email provider. Vercel delivers the website through servers around the world, so your visit may be handled outside your country. Our email provider may store messages on servers outside Venezuela.
Both providers are contractually bound to protect that information: Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and our email provider applies the European Union's Standard Contractual Clauses in its data processing agreement.
7. How long we keep it
- Server logs: our hosting provider keeps them for a short period, 30 days at most, and then deletes them automatically.
- Emails and WhatsApp conversations: we keep them while your enquiry or our business relationship lasts and, where they are business correspondence, for up to ten years afterwards, as Article 44 of the Venezuelan Commercial Code requires.
- When we delete an email, our provider erases it permanently within 55 days at most. WhatsApp does not keep delivered messages on its servers, and deletes undelivered ones after 30 days.
- The language cookie: 12 months, or until you delete it.
When those periods end, the information is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
You may ask us what information we hold about you and why, and ask us to correct, update or delete it. In Venezuela, Article 28 of the Constitution recognises these rights (habeas data). Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict its use, withdraw consent, receive a copy, and complain to a data protection authority.
To make a request, email contacto@petrotech-oil.com. We may need to confirm your identity, and we will reply within 10 days.
9. Security
The website is served over encrypted HTTPS connections and does not store visitor submissions, and access to our accounts is limited to authorised staff. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our practices change. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
